but at the time magmortar came out i believe you needed to insert a leaf green cartridge into the DS and maybe you might find one

we used to have a pokedex book and i was building a team for a tournament with my friends and i decided i needed magmortar

the other way to get it was to have Pokemon XD on the GameCube and there was a Magmar you could get

so i got that magmar

but it literally had the worst ivs of all time

so i bred and bred and bred trying to improve its ivs

but it inherits some of them directly so it didnt work

anyway after a bunch of effort i got a passable magmortar and it served me well and i loved him

that was so convoluted lmao

but yeah since then, magmortar is my favorite
